Please the masjid in green square. It is the exact place where the clouds had gathered over the head of prophet Muhammad sallallaho allihiwasalm and produced shade in sunny afternoon in madina munawarrah when the mdina people had been suffering from severe drought (shadeed qahat).

Prophet Muhammad sallallaho allihiwasalam prayed (BEGGED DUA) and rain started at once. SO IT IS CALLED MASJID -E-GHAMAMA. In arabic ghamama means" cloud ".you must not miss to see this masjid if get chance of haj or umra which is few yards away from masjid-e-nabvi on walking distance

At the same spot prophet Myhammad sallallaho allihi wasalam led the funeral prayer in absentia [غائبانہ نماز جنازہ] of NIJASHI . the ruler of HABSHA.

Some eid prayers are also led by prophet Muhammad sallalla ho allihi wasalam at the same spot where MASJID GHAMAMA IS SITUATED.

Really it is the spot of great importance.
